Scent-sational Tips

Applying fragrance is an art, here’s some tips for getting the most out of your scent

  1. Choose the Right Fragrance:
    • Select a fragrance that complements your personal style and the occasion. Consider the notes (top, middle, and base) to find a scent that resonates with you.
  2. Moisturize Before Applying:
    • Apply an unscented moisturizer to your skin before spraying perfume. Hydrated skin holds fragrance better and helps the scent last longer.
  3. Spray on Pulse Points:
    • Focus on pulse points like wrists, neck, behind your ears, and the inner elbows. These areas emit heat, enhancing the fragrance and making it last longer.
  4. Avoid Rubbing:
    • After applying, resist the temptation to rub your wrists together. Rubbing breaks down the top notes and alters the scent.
  5. Layering Technique:
    • If you have a matching scented lotion or body wash, use them in conjunction with your perfume. This layering technique can intensify and prolong the fragrance.
  6. Hair Mist:
    • For a subtle and long-lasting effect, you can also spray a bit of fragrance on your hairbrush or mist it directly onto your hair.
  7. Distance Matters:
    • Hold the perfume bottle about 6–8 inches away from your skin when spraying. This allows the fragrance to disperse evenly without being too overpowering.
  8. Time it Right:
    • Apply fragrance right after a shower when your skin is clean and slightly damp. This helps lock in the scent.
  9. Reapply Strategically:
    • If the fragrance starts to fade, you can reapply, but do it sparingly. Focus on pulse points and avoid overdoing it.
  10. Consider the Environment:
    • Be mindful of the setting. In warmer weather, fragrances tend to intensify, so go for lighter scents. In colder weather, richer, warmer scents work well.

Remember, fragrance is a personal choice, and these tips can be adjusted based on individual preferences. Happy scenting!
