Serums are light liquid skin care formulated to address specific skin concerns. They have higher concentrations of active ingredients.
How to use a Serum
- Apply serums on freshly cleansed skin.
- Apply in an upward and outward motion starting with chest and neck. Don’t forget your hands.
- If you are using multiple serums, start with the lightest formula and work up to the heaviest
- Follow serums with a moisturizer to lock in hydration and the serum ingredients
- Apply any oils last, regardless of weight, as they are also moisturizers and they are occlusive meaning they won’t let anything applied after absorb into the skin.
- You may skip the moisturizer if you have oily skin, or are using several serums that provide enough moisture
- Don’t forget the SPF for daytime.
- Some serums can be used only in targeted areas, anywhere on the body, as needed.
