I’m not a big techy person. I do have some high tech stuff in my house but I’ve never been someone who needs to have the latest and greatest gadgets. After trying out some of the new electronics that we offer from LG I have found a couple of things that make my days a bit more enjoyable.

LG Tone Wireless Earbuds

I work from home and I’m usually the only one home during the day. That means that listening to music and podcasts through the speaker on my phone or computer isn’t disruptive to anyone else. However as I move around the house I miss out on whatever I’m listening too when I move away from my desk.

I’ve tried a couple of different solutions to this dilemma but they all had their own little drawbacks.

• Listening through the speaker on my phone and bringing the phone with me when I move about the house. It’s just a hassle to have to remember to grab my phone every time I move away from where I’m working, especially if I don’t have any pockets
• Listening on the speakers on my computer and turning up the sound so I can hear it throughout more of the house. This results in very uneven volume depending on where I am in the house, and makes the music or podcast uncomfortably loud when I’m at my desk.
• Using regular wired earbuds plugged into my phone. This option actually has a couple of drawbacks. First that I find the earbuds very uncomfortable in my ears, second that I’m constantly catching the wire on things and pulling the earbuds out of my ear

I’ve always been hesitant to try wireless earbuds because I’ve found other ear buds to be uncomfortable and I was a bit worried that I might loose one. I was also concerned that they would be hard to keep charged so they were always ready to be used when needed.

Then we started carrying the LG Tone Wireless Earbuds and I started hearing from my friends who got them how comfortable they are, how well they stay in the ear and how quickly they charge so I figured it was time to try them. The wireless earbuds are now my favorite way to listen to music and podcasts around the house or any time I’m somewhere that listening on a speaker would be inappropriate.

They connect easily via Bluetooth to whatever device I’m listening on. I use my earbuds with my phone, tablet and computer. It’s quick and easy to connect to whichever device I’m using with just a couple of clicks or taps. And they connect automatically to which ever device I last used them when anytime I put them in my ears.

customize the listening experience

When I am somewhere that I want to immerse myself in whatever I’m listening too, or if I just want to block out the TV show my husband is watching in the same room, I can turn on the noise-canceling feature with just a couple taps on my device. If I still want to be able to interact with people and sounds around me I can choose the ambient or conversation settings. And I can choose from different sound profiles in either setting to get the best sound for the type of music I’m listening too or even the best sound for listening to podcasts or audio books.

Easily control playback

With the on earbud controls I can stop and start playback, adjust the volume skip to the next song or even turn off noise-cancelling without touching my device. And if I get a phone call while I’m listening I can easily stop playback and take the call with out having to pickup my phone.

Virtually always charged

The long battery life means I’ve never had to worry that I could run out of juice before I was done listening. I get up to 10 hours of play time from one charge. And the charging case can charge the earbuds for up to 20 more hours of play time on the go before I would need to plug in to an outlet. PLUS the charging case sanitizes the earbuds every time I charge them.

LG Soundbar

In the category of things I didn’t know I needed until I had one, there’s the LG Soundbar. Like I said, I’m not a real techy person so I’ve always been perfectly happy with whatever speakers my TV had. Then LG gifted me a Soundbar as a thank you for being a top seller with Avon. At first I was going to give it away because I didn’t really think we needed it. Then a friend of mine mentioned that he had one and that he found it much easier to understand what they people on TV were saying since he got his soundbar. Since my husband is hard of hearing and often comments that it can be hard to understand what’s being said on TV I figured we should give the soundbar a try.

The soundbar really does provide a clearer, crisper sound than the regular TV speakers. And not just for voices. We hear more detail in the background sounds and music. It even has a feature that balances the loudest and quietest sounds so we no longer have to turn down the sound when commercials come on with double the volume of the show we were watching.

Using the Bluetooth connectivity I can also stream audio from my other devices to the soundbar and enjoy the improved sound quality for music, podcasts and audio books too.
